after working in two retail companies, i feel so disgusted by some of the people out there.
i have only been in retail for a total of 4 months and i have seen so much.

i really really really hate it when customers think that they're the biggest in the shop.
yes, retail companies earn only when there's customer. so somehow they're important, and the "biggest" but i really can't stand the attitude of some customers and especially how they treat retail associates.
no doubt it is the job of a retail associate to serve customers, from the moment they step in the store till the moment they make payment and step out of the store.
however it drives me crazy when customer treats them as a piece of crap.

for example, when they make payment at the cashier by cash.
they just throw their cash on the counter like "take the money, you beggar"
excuse me, just so you know i am serving you and i'm taking in that money on behalf of the company? there's absolutely no reason why you should throw the cash on the counter.
isn't it common sense and courtesy to hand the money over?
it works the same way if you work in the office, would you like it if your boss just throw a file on your desk?
yes it is work for you, just like it is for retail associate serving you, but it makes a thousand times better if you pass that money from your hand to their hand instead of throwing it.
you're making a living, and so are they.
so what gives you the rights to just throw stuff at them? not literally AT them but you get the gist.

another thing that drives me crazy and disgusted happens only in fashion retail.
i get it when you feel curious about how the piece of clothing looks; its print, design and whatsoever. but once youre done looking, can you at least show some effort wanting to fold back the clothing like how it is before you took it?
what's worse is when customers just kind of roll them into a ball or just throw the item on the table like it's rubbish.
if that's what you're gonna do, don't even pick it up in the first place.

and something similar is when customers pull out items on the hanger, wants to put the hanger back on the rail and BAM, item drops on the floor.
and what do they do? walk away, leaving the item on the floor.
WHAT ON EARTH. sickening people, will it kill you to pick up the item and just hang back on the hanger?  just what's so difficult about that.
yes, it is the job of the retail associates but they have far more things to do than hang around the store, looking out for items on the floor.
since you made it drop unintentionally, just hang it back. or at least give it to someone working there.

it's just like someone unintentionally bangs into you, causing you to drop your bag and everything in it spills out then the person just walk off. it piss people off isn't it? it's the same thing.
i just don't understand why can't some people just understand this point.

i know retail associate's job is do all those, but this is more than just their job.
but all those little things just goes to show how one person is.
yes it sounds exaggerating, but think about it.
it just shows how arrogant that person is, thinking he/she is far more worthy than anyone else and how insensitive she is other people.
it is just sickening how disrespectful someone can be.

but that being said, there are sure even more customers who are really pleasant and making job so much fun and enjoyable.
like just a simple thank you or have a nice day can just make one feel appreciated.

this is such a ranty post but i really just need to let it out because i was so terribly annoyed at work today but i feel so much better right now after typing all those nonsense. heh.
